Backward Design

Backward Design is just what you would think. You start with the end result and work backward to develop a plan. Typically teachers make lesson plans using the resources available, usually a textbook. Backward design allows lesson plans to be developed while focusing on the desired learning goals.

1. My experience creating the animated video explainer was not the best. It was definitely an interesting experiment. This was my first time ever creating something like this. I am accustomed to using other, more traditional presentation methods. I made at least 15 attempts when recording the voiceover and by the end I was very frustrated. Adding the text and graphics was fairly straight forward. It was simple to add and move the items where I needed them. 2. I think will be great tool for my classroom. This would be an interesting tool to use for creating videos reflecting the children writing or a classroom story. It would also be a great way to introduce students to using new technology by allowing students to create their own animated videos. 3. I will use this technology again. I would like to learn more techniques when developing my own videos and then help students learn how to make videos. I am not aware of any technologies similar to this.
